Peterborough FC

Peterborough FC is one of the most established adult competitive soccer clubs in Peterborough, Ontario, specializing in men’s over-35, over-40, and over-50 soccer. The club has deep roots in the local soccer community and traces its origins back to the late 1960s, when it began as the Peterborough Oldtimers Soccer Club.

The organization was originally created by local players dedicated to promoting competitive adult soccer for older athletes in the Peterborough area. In 2011, the club officially changed its name to Peterborough FC and expanded its programming to include additional age divisions. Over time, the club added over-45 and over-35 teams, eventually restructuring into today’s over-35, over-40, and over-50 squads.

Peterborough FC focuses on:

  • Competitive adult soccer
  • Long-term player development and participation
  • Sportsmanship and camaraderie
  • Regional and international tournament play
  • Maintaining high-level soccer opportunities for older players

Unlike purely recreational leagues, Peterborough FC competes at a more serious level against clubs from across Ontario and occasionally international opponents. The club participates in organized competitive leagues and cup competitions, often facing teams from cities such as Oshawa, Whitby, Kingston, and Toronto.
