ECDSL U7-U9 Development Festival Information
The ECDSL U7-U9 Development Festival League is focused on player development, coach development, and match official development in a fun and positive environment. All teams participate in a 5v5 festival format (including goalkeepers) with an emphasis on equal playing time, skill development, and sportsmanship. No scores or standings are maintained.
Important Festival Information
- Maximum match duration is 40 minutes
- Weeknight festivals consist of two 20-minute matches
- Weekend festivals may include up to three 20-minute matches
- No slide tackling or heading permitted
- All free kicks are indirect
- Retreat line is the halfway line
- Size 3 soccer balls are used for all divisions
- Equal playing time and positional development are strongly encouraged
